John's Bio
John Hunter is a freelance Stage Manager (AGMA) living in Baltimore, but with his roots in New York. John holds an MFA in Stage Management from Rutgers University, and this fall, John will begin teaching stage management full-time at the Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington DC. 

John has Stage Managed sixty-six operas, sixteen plays, and six musicals. 
Select Stage Management credits include Brokeback Mountain, Fanciulla del West and Tosca for New York City Opera; BLUE and Merry Widow for Toledo Opera, Peter Grimes & Carmen for Indiana University,  Eugene Onegin and Cyrano for Opera Carolina; Merry Wives of Windsor & Turn of the Screw for Juilliard Vocal Arts; Falstaff, Macbeth, and Otello for Maryland Lyric Opera; Porgy & Bess, Peter Grimes, and Fidelio for The Princeton Festival, and the re-mounting of the 75th Anniversary tour of Porgy & Bess in Mexico City, Mexico.
